Putting aside the distinction between a republic and a democracy, to these people, democracy doesn't mean we elect folks who will advance the policies desired by the majority within the context of a constitutionally limited republican form of government. To them, democracy means to continue to advance wokism, anti-Whitism, perpetual war for Israel, cross dressing story time hour for children, transgenderism for children, the whole homosexual agenda, and all the rest. In accordance with this definition, if the majority vote against all that, then they constitute a threat to democracy and must be stopped by any means possible.

I couldn't stomach much of that. I'd love to hear how rural "anti-covidism" is a threat to democracy. It seems that being against lock downs, against travel restrictions, against closing churches, against banning family get-togethers and against mandatory jabs is the very essence of democracy.
