Fugk vegetables. No broccoli, cauliflower or brussel sprouts to offend the olfactory senses. No need for color on the plate. Just grilled Brazilian style shoulder seven steaks with a side of boneless beef ribs. Get the Weber up to about 700 degrees at 3 minutes per side, and it is magic! A nice char on the outside and juicy medium on the inside. Culinary nirvana.

I rode the bike 25 miles today and will knock out 30 or 40 tomorrow. That flushes out all the calcification.

You messed up Paul!

Your supposed to eat your desert first, you can make up for it after dinner by running around with the scissors and playing in the road.........

I had a slice of turtle cheesecake for a pre-ride snack. Does that count?

Steaks look pretty thin to end up medium with a six minute cook at 700 degrees. Seems like they'd have ended up at least medium well to well. Overcooked at any rate; at least for my taste.

Bottom line though, is the OP only had to please himself.

I estimated the 3 minutes. I go by appearance.

If you want a divorce you might try putting ketchup on it and posting a pic of that in this thread.

I had never heard of the shoulder seven steaks until about 2 years ago. I passed them up because they were cheap. I finally gave them a go, and I love them. I had a jar of rub that was given to me by a Brazilian chef. I used the last of it tonight. I have some McCormack brand Brazilian steak seasoning that is surprisingly good. Super simple, cheap and delicious. I am a believer in only turning meat one time on the grill. That and the high heat locks the moisture in during the cooking process.
