This is a great handling, sub 8 lb powerhouse of a rig that is extremely versatile in many hunting situations. I bought this rifle in the new & unfired condition that it remains in to this day. I had intentions to use it on a return trip to Africa that never materialized. It has sat in the back of my safe without picking up a single ding and it appears to be without flaw. The Leupold VX-3i 2.5-8x36mm with B&C Reticle rifle scope in Talley Lightweight Alloy mounts is also brand new.

That sounds pretty cheap to me! I paid more than that for mine. First and only load I tried was 270TSX and about the third seating depth tried ended up shooting clover leafs. Stopped right there. Great rifle. GLWS.

Surprised this hasn't sold already! MRC is coming out with their new action .375 H&H in a few months and that one starts at $2500 and has "modern conveniences" added to it that make it far less appealing as a classic rifle. I think these "classic" Montana's will start to increase in value quickly as MRC gets back out there again.

Nice dangerous game rifle Jeff. I have three MCR they all shoot well, aI consider them a n upgraded pre 64 model 70 Winchester. Good luck on the sale, price is right.
