As I have found out through my small one man show, you can't make a living selling new guns. The new guns are to get people there. There is not enough profit in it, really. The real money to be made is in the accessories related to hunting and shooting, also reselling used guns. If you can provide a service that customers want, you have a great shot at making a profit. I am sorry to see the big stores like Whitaker's go under. Once they are gone, they won't be replaced.

The guy I use for transfers has a range, rents guns and sells them. Offers basic CCW training as well. Insurance - I never asked but he's doing ok. Not rich, not poor. Does what he wants. FSA
