Just got this from my importer. For the Canadians, that's http://www.nine35.ca. He imports barrels from different companies. This is an MGM, CM, 22 Hornet barrel. 1 in 14 twist, 20 inch length.

Thank you. I haven't found a scope for it yet, but it is small and light.

Thanks everyone. It's raining in central Ontario, but I hope to get to the range in the next day or so.
I hope to try a Blueberry (Bullberry) barrel before my ticket gets punched. So many toys that need to be played with!

Evenin Steve, GWPGUY π¨π¦ You've probably already posted it but I must have missed it??? What's the average group size that your getting from the Contender & Encore??? If you could, include the calibers please. What is the trigger like? Would have been a nice day to shoot up here, not sure of the Orillia clubs weather but it hit 60 degrees here. Worked in the shop in a long sleeve t shirt. Weird winter, but I like that I've only used the snow blower 3 times & one of those was probably not needed. Thanks for your time. GWPGUY. πΎπ£π¨π¦

I have two frames. One Contender and one Pro Hunter. The Contender trigger is the better of the two, breaking at 3 lb. The Pro Hunter trigger is a little over 4 lb. The Pro Hunter trigger pull is smooth, just a bit heavier than the Contender. The average group size is about 0.75 with the small fry cartridges - 22 K-Hornet, 223 Wylde, 7.62x39 About 0.900 of an inch for the 30s - 30-303, 7.62x54r . I have only put factory cartridges through the 30-30. I am not sure if it the barrel or the ammunition, but the 30-30 shoots 1.25 at 100 yd. Here are some targets. 300 HAMR - I just received this barrel not long ago. There are only fifty shots through it. 223 Wylde (close to a 223 Rem) 0.52 was the Contender. 0.79 was the Rem 700. My 22 K-Hornet Pro Hunter - first 5 shot yard group at 50 yd after sighting in. It's under an inch at 100 yd. 30-303 (my favourite), although the new 22 Hornet might take first place. 7.62x54r - the vert stringing was me pulling the rifle back on the rear bag. it rounded out on a warmer day.

When I was in high school a few of the cadets shot 22 Hornet Martinis. Seems to me that there were also some 310 Cadet rifles around, but they were privately owned. That was back when the Army Cadets still shot 303s.

Mornin Steve, there's still one martini on gunpost but it doesn't look that good & it's priced a tad bit high. The 218 bee was priced lower & had knock out wood on it. Was a real nice deal but when the good ones show up ya have to have the money like right now!! A few 22lr still on there though, one petty nice one but it's north of $1000.00. Again thanks for the info. GWPGUY. πΎπ£π¨π¦

Yes. Gone are the days when you could buy one cheap because nobody wanted them.
