Winchester Model 70 XTR, 270 Winchester. Boyds Laminated Stock, 13.5" LOP, High quality Warne Picatinny Rail. Very good condition overall. Wood is 100%, Bore /rifling bright, shiny, sharp. Metal is very good on the receiver. In full transparity there is some very light imperfections on the exterior of the barrel. Very minor start of pitting in a couple areas that is cosmetic. Pics don't show it but it must be disclosed. No imperfections in bore. Barrel is drilled and tapped for iron sights but the sights are missing. Filler screws installed. It does shoot very well. I tried just one handload with H4831/Hornady 140 BTSP and I shot consistent 3 shot groups of approx. .75". $550 TY FFL. I'm including the shipping and that is a substantial cost now days. Payment with Bank Certified Check, Postal MO, personal check. I do not use Paypal, Venmo, or any other forms of electronic payment. Thanks for looking.
These XTR Winchester M70 rifles are extremely high quality and I would recommend to do some research on them. I have one in 7X57 that has killed a number of bucks. And with members of the 24HR community present. Very accurate rifle. This is a very good deal.
If I had a remote need for another hunting rifle, this would be headed to me.

There is a walnut Winchester 70 featherweight stock on ebay right now for $150.
The rifle offered here has a very good stock, but if you are in love with the original featherweight design (like I am), that would be a great combination!
