I really hope to make it one of these days. Does one need just a basic kit and authentic weapon, or is there a committee of stitch counters ?

No stitch counters, it helps too that it’s dark when you check in 🙂 Any reasonable attempt at authenticity accepted, there’s already gonna be more than enough coonskin caps (just a couple of those goes a long way). Percussion caplocks perfectly OK. Although it might be better not to bring an 1855 Enfield like a guy who was out firing in the Texian ranks at San Jacinto one year
