dot comes to the eye more natcherly, when mounted lower. That, and it's stronger to screw one directly onto a milled slide, rather than mounting it to a sliding plate in a dovetail......

Burris. dovetail block. The mount saddles the slide so it can't walk out left or right.

no milling req.

Asking again? It seems like there would be a big market for this if properly fitting a new slide isn't a big deal?

Fitting a 1911 slide is a bit of work and takes some know how. More than just sliding it on and racking a few times to make sure it moves. Can't comment on a Glock.

There are tons of aftermarket slides and barrels, ect. available for many of the drastic plastic pistols like Glock. They are very much plug-and-play type guns.

I'll second that. In my modest experience with Sigs, S&W and Glocks, the striker fired pistols in general readily accept different slides.

I've mixed and matched compact and full size slides and frames on various models of all of those and they functioned 100%.

I like how low ed brown cuts for the RMRCC. Doesn’t sit on top of the slide like so many RMR’s I see.
