Does anyone know what forms if any are required to export a tanned wolf hide from Canada to the US?
Thanks

I would say that a CITES permit would be required given the protected status they have in the Lower 48. Jeff

Check the rules. Are you shipping it? There are some exemptions for personal items.
I did a gator hunt in Louisiana. Taxidermist was having fits trying to get a CITES permit to ship it to me after. I was finally told by a Louisiana F&G staffer that I could import it myself without a permit. Had it shipped to Port Huron, Michigan, drove over, picked it up and brought it home. Customs didn’t blink an eye.
It really depends on the particular species.

No cities required if importing to US. You will need receipt from tanner and import for personal use only. You must physically have it in your possession when you cross.
