Not to hijack CiK's bandsaw blade thread.

Is there any use for chains where the teeth are down to nubs?

I have maybe 30-40 chains after 30+ years of heating with wood and I can't bring myself to toss them.

You can cut them and mix a bit of paint with a drill...

But honestly this is better... https://www.walmart.com/ip/GoodCook...lloon-Whisk-Set-Assorted-Sizes/495930977

Or snake a drain pipe...

Otherwise... I got nothing.

I didn't know if a knife maker could use them?

May not be viable if they are different grades of metal.

My boy has used them for some of his welding art.

My boy hasn't been doing much of that lately, you could pm goalie and see I f he could use them for the same.

Probably not.

Could hang some AR500 plates with them, but honestly fire-hose is better.

I have used a couple to keep water out of my trailer's jack-stand riser... cut the bottom out.

I admit it is kinda brokedick.

They make great shop decorations hanging by a nail in my shop! grin

Usually, they are pretty worn out when I change, but there's always a chance I will need one one day... LOL. But I doubt it.

I keep a few around just in case I have to use a saw on something I know will wreck a good chain.

Beyond that, they go in a bucket for a trip to the scrap yard.

For what is coming up this summer in mass Civil disobedience with a little ingenuity I would think they could be made into an admirable chain flail. Your only limited by.your imagination.

Threads like this help me realize I am not the only one using worn out stuff for wall hangers. Have a lot of stuff I should just throw away.

This has got legs^^^^
Pro-tip......spiral wrap a chain around a baseball bat and it can be used for pesky illegal migrants, since you have quite a few chains you can make many bats, good for gifts at Christmas.
