I'll never get rid of mine. 6.5X55 shooting 130 grain Accubonds or Swift Siroccos' pushed at 2775 with RL19 and, like Stick said, it's a hammer. Under .5 inch groups all day long. I've killed several west Texas whitetails, some feral barbado/mouflon cross sheep, wild hogs up to about 275 and killed 2 big south Texas white tails this year.
The lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part!
They are ruggedly fhuqking reliable and shoot like a dirty fhuqking bastard to boot. Hint.
Just sayin'...............
Brad says: "Can't fault Rick for his pity letting you back on the fire... but pity it was and remains. Nothing more, nothing less. A sad little man in a sad little dream."
My 30-06 will keep all the loads I made for it inside 3/4" for three shots. Wish it was a 6mm CM, but I got it when dreaming of an elk hunt and I can live with 130 gr TTSX at 3300+ that shoots in one hole at 100 yards, or 125 gr BT at 2850 that groups the same.
Since Montanas were mentioned, the one I have played with should have never left the factory...maybe a 6 CM barrel would fix it...

Lilja is the easy button there. You can order the factory dupe contour and 12-16wks later it's on your doorstep. Thread, chamber, put the stock on and rock on.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.
Granite View Sports has a Fieldcraft 6CM untreaded for $2750.......I have same plus a threaded one but they aren't leaving at any price.....well almost.....incredible little rifles.
People are way too orgasmic about fieldcrafts. It’s the same as people wanting fixed power scopes again. They quit making them because only a few people were buying. Just like when colt was labeling them. The history is the same. Just buy a freaking tikka

You know as much about the fieldcraft as you do about testing scopes.

Never an original thought. The group tells you what to believe. Probably was a Covid sheep too.

What was Colt doing with the Fieldcraft?
Why, they were labeling them, of course.
It was the playground & C-clamp special edition.
That was nearly one of the funniest videos ever...
