There is also aluminum foil... or wax paper.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Shingles = 20+ years. Tar paper will be good from now to first hard windstorm.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Gorilla tape, small widths makes installation time consuming though.

If it’s small, why not corrugated metal? If you’re DIYing it wouldnt be to bad and never mess with it again.

I've used asphalt roll roofing and shingles over the years for deer blinds and such, never tarpaper. I've got one blind that has been up since 2002. It has required one complete re-roofing. The original roll roof lasted about 15 years.
On the other hand, I have the kitchen roof at the farm and one blind that I did with galvanized. Those roofs are rock solid after 20 years. Even the asphalt shingle roof on the rest of the house is losing shingles now after just 16 years. I had to replace it in 2008 after an F1 tornado came through.
My advice is galvanized.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

What is the pitch of the roof? You need a 2 foot level and a measuring tape to determine pitch. If it is less than a 4:12 pitch shingles won't work.

I have always heard 4:12 My girlfriend owns an expensive rental house. The big back porch roof is over a beautiful brick patio. This roof is 24 feet long and 14 feet wide. It had been re roofed just 3 years before we bought the house. You could see where the roof was leaking, there were water marks on the white painted ceiling.
I checked with my level and it was a 3:12 pitch. Asphalt shingles. I had to tear off those shingles and re-do the roof.

Just get a five gallon bucket of Rocky Mountain Tar.
After you tar and feather your Sec state then you should have enough left for the roof.

Use the rubber weather shield that is normally only along the edge for ice, and just overlap it like shingles… even non-rubber stuff works fine as long as it’s overlapped 6”
