They had a couple styles. If wyo1895 doesn't have what you're looking for PM me. I have ones in the original boxes too.

There are three different adjustable bases for the Savage 1899/99 that I've owned.

There earliest style was designed to use with lever safety rifles It was designed to use the plunger style rings, but could use the later spring style rings too, and the rear base mounted via the rear scope base factory d&t hole and the front tang factory d&t hole. The rear base has a hole in it for the cocking indicator pin.

There are two later styles that are intended for tang safety actions, the two piece style that wyo1895 has posted pictures of and a one piece style. The two piece style requires you to use the spring style rings, as the ledge of the rear base won't retain the plunger on the plunger style rings. I think that the one piece base will allow either style of rings to be used, but I stopped using the B&L Bal- series of externally adjusted scopes and bases about 30 years ago.

B&L also made a couple of different styles of auxiliary peep sights for the adjustable bases that looked interesting but didn't work very well.

About 35 years ago I jumped into the B&L Bal- series stuff with both feet and have at least one of all of the different scopes and close to 100 sets of bases and rings. When B&L stopped making the scopes and bases an outfit in Erie, PA, called Pimm made bases and rings for some period of time. They also made a Frankestein-like ring set in a style that B&L never made.

Good luck.
