If they had heckled someone like Tucker Carlson I wonder how much angst there would be? Those firefighters would have been lauded for their courage.

Speaking out against the government is as dangerous as it was in 1917 through 1919 when thousands were locked up. During the civil war Lincoln had droves of Democrats locked up.

There is no limit to what AG Garland will do. We are on the verge of catastrophe.

Then Pelosi and about 100 others should be given life sentences.

Here is some interesting and true information about Kavanagh.She grew up in San Fancisco.She attended Columbia University,one of the schools Obama claimed he attended.She worked on the campaigns of Bill de Blasio and Barack Obama.She never was a firefighter.

She is just another,in a long list of DEI hires.

This is the memo from the Union to the rank and file:
I’m here to address the behavior of firefighters that attended Thursday’s promotion.

The behavior we saw and heard was grossly inappropriate.Protesting, heckling, or booing anyone at a ceremony is simply unacceptable.

This was a promotion ceremony to honor members who made sacrifices and worked hard to achieve this day. They had close family and friends there to celebrate with them.

Absolutely no one should have been subjected to what happened based on the political beliefs of some members.

It was disrespectful to the speakers, to the promoted members and their families

This was not a political event and Letitia James was not there to give a political speech.

She was there to support her friend and our new chaplain Pamela Holmes. Pamela invited her friend to attend the ceremony.

Members have a right to political beliefs. But you don’t have a right to make a job related ceremony political in nature.

When you’re not on duty, feel however you want about politicians. Vote. Protest. That’s your right. But don’t do it on the job’s time, on other members’ time, or on their families’ time. Do it on your own time.

Our actions at the promotion damaged the relationship with the attorney general and the Christian Cultural Center. We may lose that venue now.

Politics aside, the attorney general is a friend to the UFA and UFOA and a supporter of our Department. She has come to the hospital on more than one occasion to support us when one of our members is seriously injured or died.

These actions reflected very poorly upon us and diminished the dignity of the occasion.
Instead of news reports talking about the accomplishments of our members, it talked about the politics and our poor behavior.

Everyone must be better. Do the right thing. Even if you aren’t the one acting poorly, if you see a fellow firefighter act in this manner, STOP IT.

Act in a manner befitting of the uniform that you wear. Nothing less should be tolerated.

I suspect that part is quite true. Government workers should not express a political stance on any issue while on the job, or use official equipment to express one's opinions. Does seem a bit rude for a promotion/award event when the focus should be on one's peers.

Point taken, but sadly when it's them doing the critterin' it's not chargeable. BTW, I don't think the Gold Star Dad should be charged; escorted out yes, but not charged.

It's pretty obvious that if you question the political left on any issue they will make you pay. We can see what they are doing to Donald Trump, Rudy Guliani, Mike Lindell or anyone who threatens their narrative.

The system is completely turned upside down. I certainly hope that when it comes time to vote this November folks remember this and punish the culprits. In this case the entire democRAT party and those folks who comprise the WEF and EU.

Steve4102: I was a naive country boy turned rookie policeman in a large west coast city and upon settling my first downtown "negro dust-up" with the help of 8 or 10 other policemen one of the senior officers on the scene spoke these words of wisdom "you can take the negro out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the negro"!
I was at first shocked at his language (which I have cleaned up for this discussion) but it did not take very many years and having to deal with countless outlandish, uncivilized, vindictive, hateful and uncalled for racist actions and criminal activities by blacks for me to realize the wisdom of what that officer uttered.
The actions and racism displayed by this horrific human being named latitia james reminds me of those unsolvable, uncalled for actions by countless negro folks I had to deal with for nearly 3 decades!
Along the way during those times I ran across so many hard working, civilized, polite, law abiding, devout black people that I gradually began to feel sorry for them having to be lumped in with the racist, uncivilized, chip on their shoulder ghetto types!
At so many times these racist, uncivilized ghetto types were just impossible to deal with yet impossible to ignore - Catch 22.
This is learned racist and uncivilized behavior on the part of latitia james and her ilk.
Alas there MAY be NO solution to their anti-American, anti-social behavior.
The so called "great society" had a great part in creating this mentality among so many black Americans - and that is sad.
