I can't believe it either. No joy in Green Bay today. Lol - GB is buzzin.... Yes, sad Jones and #69 are gone. Bahk was medical. People get that. Jones - 12 million this year for a 30 year old with injury issues. 17m against the cap. Packers do the smart thing - let him go so he can go somewhere else. Packers weren't going to pay him that at 30, maybe someone else will but if GB's going to pay a RB 12m a year - it's going to be someone Jacobs' age. But they also got Jacobs (3 years younger, gave him the same deal Jones got 3 years ago and the NFL rushing leader 2 years ago) and McKinney - 26 and the safety they needed for the new DC's defense.

I get the cap, but i really like Jones. Plays with heart and you don't see that much anymore. Add that to his years in the league and I think that young team NEEDS someone like Jones in the locker room and setting the example on the field. I thought he earned at least that much. Is Dillion on the block too? I get Bahk... I can't honestly remember his last full healthy year. Jets will probably pick him up for AR on a one or two year deal.

I never thought Bahktiari would come back again, but Jones is a surprise. The salary cap explanation makes sense, but DAMN he was a great RB.
