What do you use to black out the sights on your open sighted guns? Specifically revolvers. I have used soot from burning tape and find it excellent but not durable. Anyone have a good flat black something with some durability that they apply to their sights?

A Sharpie or finger nail polish. The stuff women put on their nails will survive Armageddon.

Have tried sharpies and find them a little too glossy. Have used orange nail polish but have yet to find flat black. Maybe Amazon?

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

A burning candle will provide all the black you need, where you need it. And when you're done, it comes right off.

Creedmoor sells a new paint that sucks and holds light like a black hole.! I’ll try to post a link when I have a chance.

Mix a small amount of talcum powder into gloss paint and you'll have flat paint.

I just spray flat black krylon in a paper cup, and brush it on the sight. Fairly durable and cheap, since I always seem to have the paint in the shop!
