My bud picked up this gun it's a 16ga x 9mm? He says it measures ..3595" on the grooves and the chamber appears to be about 3" inches long. Any ideas what cartridge this is? Can see from the extractor it is rimmed. Mb

9.3x72R comes in a variety of bore sizes. With a probe of some type check to see if it's a tapered.case.vs a bottle neck, then check the base diameter.and the rim diameter.
57mm is 2.25 inches, 72mm is 2.85.
Our own Mule Deer had a 9.3x72R with a .358 groove diameter mine is .363 but has a bore.diameter of .344. they can be all over the place. Factory ammo comes with a stepped bullet to keep pressures low in the very tight bores.

Well finally got a look at the combo gun it is a korinski and the throat is in poor shape , pitting and land wear. Mb
