This is a very nice Curly Maple "Bitterroot" Hunter knife by Josh Clarke. I purchased this knife on the Campfire several months ago and have not done more than unbox it. It’s is in absolutely new condition. It’s a lovely knife, but just not my cup of tea, and I need to make some room.

Quoting from the original listing to describe the knife and the excellent workmanship that is displayed here:

“This is his Clip point version of his popular "Boot and Belt" model that he calls the "Bitterroot " Hunter. This design has a California Clip point style blade and the rear lanyard tube in the handle. The Clip point design is very controllable as the point is in the same position in relation to the handle centerline as his Drop point design

These are flat ground from US made 1095 steel and are 1/8" thick at the spine. It is ground thin with a hand rubbed satin finish with a swedge ground tip . Joshua's deeply stamped "Broadsword" maker's mark is on the blade..

They have an proper heat treat at 59 Rockwell.

The knife is 8.75" long with a 4.5" blade. The fit and finish on this knife is top notch. The handle is a sleek birdshead style with with Dark "Flintlock Brown" stained Curly Maple scales . The wood was hand selected for this knife and is 100% figured with nice Curl an color. The pictures of this knife DO NOT do the scales justice!

They are attached with Brownells Acraglass with heavy gauge hand set brass pins and were finished with Josh's blend of Marine grade Spar varnish and Tung oil for a traditional looking, yet weatherproof finish.

One of Josh's shop made Dark Brown Bridle leather sheaths. They are all hand saddle stitched and have a full welt.”

I paid $115 plus $10 shipping and was glad to do it.

Selling for $100 shipped.
