Each generation creates its own identity through music, clothes, tattoos (That one's going to come back to haunt you in twenty years).
Go out and create a future of your own...we did. its always easier to blame someone else for your failures/laziness than to look in the mirror, the new oh whoa is me crowd is strong here. myself I don't go for the labels on different age groups. you either work hard or not......bob You so sensitive! Or where. agreed, that's why I said that I don't go for labels....you either make your way or not....bob Why did make your way include a retirement age of 62 and a payout at least double what was payed in? When the age gets voted down to 55 we don't want to hear any bitching.

And I'm not counting on it anyway, one very valid criticism of "boomers" and the AARP is, it's a big lobby of people who for the most part are well off but want free everything. F*ck a bunch of entitlements.

Ftr....I don't have a problem with boomers.
I spent all my time growing up with my Grandpa who was born in 22.
Dad was born in 44 and mom in 45.
My other grandmother I spent a lot of time with was born in 10.
There were no kids out here. I grew up with and am still very comfortable around old people.
Having said that....it is fun to throw some of the " damn kids and their rock and roll music" back at you old sonsabitches!

I only responded to this thread, as its mind boggling that there is at least one thread per week (10-12 pages each) about THOSE boomers...it's amusing, to a point.
I'll be 69 this Sept.. I retired at 62, and have yet to sign up for SS. I can pay my own way, thank you, very much!
And, I wouldn't take a membership with AARP even if it were free.
