I guess round noses are too old school. Can't find any online. I'm not picky, broken, partial boxes, whatever...they are just for a project rifle, an old 7mm Remington Rolling block I'd like to get shooting. Another Flintlocke's Folly project.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Pm me your address. I have a small bag I’ll send you. You can pay it forward some time.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Thanks Fireball, a chamber cast indicated it's a lonnng ways to the throat..and if my theory is correct, a round nose should give me a better chance at some hope of accuracy.

Keep us posted how they work. (They should be the berries for that application.) I'm in the same boat with a 7mm Rolling Block and have thought of trying the same bullet but haven't because it's nowhere near the top of my priority list. The 139's I've used so far are very accurate but as you may guess in order to seat them anywhere close to the rifling leade they're hanging onto the case mouth by their toenails.

LOL..I sent you a PM...hoping YOU would school ME. I have a hundred ancient!!! Barnes 195 grain roundnoses...but I see no point in developing a load with them, since it is the last 100 on the planet. I may use them for fire lapping though....lots of bearing surface.
