I knew it Troutnut! I agree a little goes a long way.
I recently refinished my M1917. It is the first rifle I ever refinished and I did a lot of research on waxes, I went with Renaissance Wax as well. I put 6 coats on mine to waterproof it as much as possible.
Renaissance Wax is fantastic and your beautiful collection is a great example of the job it does.

Be still my heart, a D grade 870. The TC's were oh so nice. My brother shot one for a while. All Americans were nice as well. Nice wood, cut checkering on dependable guns a working man could afford in the day,,,,, good times.
Have done many searches over the last 10 years for an SC1100 in 12ga. Found a couple SD, but they're getting past my pay grade.
Anybody have an 870 competition trap? Single shot, gas bleed, pump. I can't remember the whole story, but interesting guns.
I need to take a new pic, have sold about half of these
My Remington grouping has shrunk, sold off a good many. I foolishly thought I could get down to 6 to 8 rifles. Ain’t happening I don’t think. A 20 gauge, a classic 7 mag, C grade 7 mag, C grade 30-06, 7mm-08 model 7. Couple 45’s
I like Rem rifles so have a few, older production guns I have changed a bit, restored or left as is.
For A difference, a few XP 100 custom guns
For a break
Just a little Rem stuff to go with the 870s and 700s.
