I have a Bruin.
What is the intended use?
I got mine about seven years ago with some Christmas money.
I've read reliable reports where people consistently have achieved 1" groups at 25 yards from a bench with the Bruin and certain loads.
That's far more accurate than I am.
The things I like most about it are its amazing beauty, fit, and function. It's more of a work of art than a tool.
Mine has never failed to fire anything I've put through it.
I would think its best application, over some other options, would be longer-range handgun hunting or competitive shooting, neither of which do I do.
Along with my Premier Grade Freedom Arms .454, my Bruin is in the running for the most-spectacular manmade object I own. But I don't really take advantage of its phenomenal accuracy.
As much as I love it, when open carrying in bear country, I generally carry my G40.
Just to illustrate how superficial I am, I likely would not have bought the bronze-finished version. I thought that looked goofy. I'm not sure DW even makes that anymore.
