We are seeing very fast times on Form 4s.

It's not just individuals but some trusts with only one person. It seem to help if the person has recently done a NICS check and been approved.

If one has a common name then adding the SSN# also seems to help.

Demand is getting crazy and if one wants a suppressor that is in stock at your dealer I would suggets grabbing it sooner rather than later.

The suppressor demand signal has been suppressed due to the long wait times and with the shorter times thing are going to get spicy trying to meet the new demand level.

They can't stop the signal.

I've had one in jail since July24th.
Called Silencer Central last week and they said that it should be approved anytime.

Yes. For example, NFA Division is shifting resources to processing applications that have received a proceed from FBI-NICS in response to the required background check.

Q. Why do trust applications take longer to process than individual applications?
Trust applications require the examiner to perform several additional steps of review than an individual application. For example, the examiner must read each trust document to ensure it is a legitimate trust.

The ATF is, as usual, completely full of schit as this does not explain the difference in processing times of days for individuals versus months for trusts.

How long can a NICS check possibly be delayed? The FBI NICS manual and the ATF's own site both indicate that if no response has been received in 3 business days it is an automatic Proceed. The last time I looked at the stats only about 10% of NICS are delayed anyway.

As far as reading the trust I suppose that varies by person. But if a person requires months to read an NFA trust they should probably be transferred to the stamp licking department.

Regardless, per SIlencerShop, this will change:

What "trust bundling" could mean in a context where it has to be read at each application to know if it is the same trust is anyone's guess...
