10-4 - I figured without a little thinning it would make the Scales pretty thick.

Cool idea. I see a custom scale business evolving! Your favorite projo’s in your hunting knife handle. You could graduate to whole cartridges, or put just about damn near anything in them I guess.

Very cool.

I have a similar idea for a filet knife.

My fishing buddy ties some nice flies
Wanted to pour some scales with some of his flies in them.

Looks good, Roger! I think I know where (Fairbanks) there are a bunch of micarta and maybe some other knife scale material if you ( or anyone) are interested. . iirc , 2 good sized boxes roughly milk crate size or larger. Hate to see them go unused, and maybe junked when Geri passes, which could be any time. Maybe some moose and caribou antler., in there also.

A friend died a couple years and I'm pretty sure his widow and daughter still have them stashed in the storage shed. Along with an incredible amount of other "stuff".

I can check with them if still there, and get a better idea, pics, and price (it would be good!) and get them gone in June when we go up there to our remote cabin.

I know what I'd be looking at, ( I built a few knife handles with him decades sgo- he was way deep in it)i They probably would not, as I was the largely one to consolidate his "stuff" from 2 sheds and a wall tent in inventory to the shed and the dump.

Should use a couple of spent bullets that have been dug out of a deer or hog...blood and all!
