If it won any awards, there wasn’t much competition. Westerns with outback hats curled down both front and rear along with dusters being worn is not indicative of real western dress. The saddle with inner tube wrapped on the saddle horn is a bit out of date. Other than bad acting and poor attention to historic costume and tack, it wasn’t too bad…

Rangers pistol would have chambered .45 Colt. (one of the caliber requirements for the Arizona Rangers) don't think any open tops were chambered thusly, but I'm not an expert.
