I’m prepping a stock to send off for one of Johnboy’s excellent paint jobs. I removed the factory glue gun garbage and bedded the rifle proper, then textured the grip and forend with marinetex.

I’m trying to remove the pad. There are screw holes in the pad, but apparently no screws. It seems glued on. This is one of the thinner factory original pads with the guy on a horse emblem. Can anyone confirm these were glued on?

Yes… they are glued on. Easiest way to remove, it to grind it off
