Husqvarna Model 246
This is one of approximately 240, 9.3 x 62’s made in 1939 and 1940 by Husqvarna from FN Model 98 actions. This is not a conversion from a 9.3 x 57.
Bore is bright and shiny.l. 98% condition of gun
Not drilled for scope bases. Has a steel Redfield receiver sight.
European walnut. Not Beech.
The modifications:
1. Had a red pad installed. Did not cut stock
2. Had two professionally installed recoil bolts
3, The tang was cracked probably why it hasn’t been shot much. Since, it was badly bedded from factory, (suspect the tang was cracked in just a few shots) it has been professionally glass bedded.
Over-all a beautiful and well balanced rifle.
