I saw a Remington Premier Upland Grade Over/Under 12 Gauge today at a gun show. I do not know much about them but had a good look to it. Was wondering if anyone here owned one or had knowledge on them.

All I know about them is they were available in the early 2000s, made in Italy and imported by Remington.

Remington had little success with their O/U lines after the 3200. Reliability problems were more frequent than the norm in some lines which affected impressions and sales of all lines. I don't recall off hand how the Premier stacked up but of the little I've seen of them, I would be very hesitant buying any later Remington O/U due to potential reliability problems and not knowing of anyone who is very familiar in repairing them. I would not even consider one if I did not have other options to fall back on if/when the Remington had issues.

The Remington premiere was made by Sabatti in Italy and imported in by Remington. I have found the following gauges so far 12, 20, and 28ga. I’m not sure what all gauges were made. It does seem to be that parts could be possibly hard to find if needed and finding a smith to repair the firearm could be difficult if needed. There are a lot of guys over on shotgun world who have purchased and are pleased with the shotgun. The overall conclusion I have came up with is That this is a quality entry level shotgun. It was designed to compete with the browning Citori but once it hit the market it was not quite the quality the Citori is. If I could find one in top condition then I would feel comfortable around the 1,500-1,800 dollar range.

Very good point. I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully I will run across one at a better price and will be able to put it in the field and give a quality review.

My 3200 is my favorite shotgun. The guy that designed the 3200 was a very good engineer. His form factor was different than mine. He had a longer neck and thinner face than me.
I had too lower the comb on mine to make it fit me.

I prefer classic.

I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally
