The 2012 manual says tighten the rear action screw to 35 inch pounds first. The 2022 manual that came with my gun says tighten the front action screw to 35 inch pounds first? I wonder what revisions to the rifles over the years could have completely reversed the tightening order. I plan to adjust my trigger I guess, I should follow the 2022 manual that came with the gun? Strange! confused

I'd do the front first.
But that's because it's how it's done, can't say it's right.😀

I just bought a Vanguard and my manual says to tighten the front first on page 11 but on page 16 it says to tighten the rear first. I'm sticking with the front screw first.
