I've been a life long resident of Warrick Co., lived near Boonville since I was 3yrs. old. My wife's grandfather lived in Ft. Branch for a time. How in the heck does a guy from Haubstadt get so far away?

School and too many Louis LaMore (sp?) novels when I was young! My great-uncle lives just off the tennis courts at Booneville High School! Small world... What was your wife's grandpa's name? I have a Marlin MR-7 in 270. It's a nice design and shoots great! I wouldn't have purchased the gun since I'm not a big wood/blue fan but my step-father gave it to me as a gift and I've really, really enjoyed shooting it ever since. I had the trigger worked on and outside of my Rem 700 VSSF, it's the most accurate bolt action I own (shooting factory ammo).
