Yes. Great table fare. Seems they lose something though after being frozen for about a month regardless of storage technique. One can drop the excess off if you pass through this region.

We pulled several large ones up a year or so back when after halibut. Coming up from 700 ft was sure death, but the regs did not allow retention.

Ling cod definitely a favorite in our house. Then yellow eye and a fresh ocean king and halibut.

I've caught a bunch - great eating fish!! This was last summer on a friends boat, will be doing a bunch this summer since I just picked up a new boat a couple weeks ago that will allow me to get out for rockfish/lings/crab/salmon on good days.

The salt water Alaska lingcod are delicious. The fresh water like we get in Lake Champlain are called Ling or burbot and I don't care for them.

Freshwater ones are good in chowder. About the only way I like them.
