I asked Phil what he thought about Wayne LaPierre and he didn’t seem interested in discussing the situation. When he realized that I knew Garry and we talked about guns and his friendship with Mike Venturino, Phil became more engaged. He told me that it will be settled in court and within 6 months there should be something different in the future of the NRA…

LaPierre is gone, all you dissatisfied members that said you weren’t supporting the NRA until LaPierre was gon, well now he is, time to quit bitching and get behind the NRA…

Until the crooks that were in on the heist are gone as well, and new leadership is established, my views won't change. It took more than just Wayne to steal tens of millions.

Yep. WLP had to have a structure around him to support the grift. I don't hate the NRA, but disgust and distrust are good places to start describing how I feel about the organization.

But the NRA board wants everyone to "just forget it all" and "let bygones be bygones"

(even though the abuse is NOT gone)

The 2nd Amendment Foundation and GOA are both far better organizations.
This.

If and when the NRA rids itself of 75 BOARD MEMBERS.......your request MAY have some merit but NOT until such time as it does so!! The NRA has s hit in its mess kit in many ways and it won't be corrected just by a request from some member that works for the NRA!

Have you ever considered that the ex says the same about you?

Probably not the best argument if you're trying to convince people to go back to their ex.

Especially with the whole ex was lying and backstabbing issue.

Not one dime until Wayne's hand picked successor and the board who let Wayne get away with his theft are gone. The 17 million dollar golden parachute back in the bank and a new business office hired. Because they should have outed Wayne and the board. They are all fugging rotten no matter what shrap says...mb

Maybe the whole board thinks you're rotten, too. So, start sending them your money again.

There are aome great 2A groups that have shown themselves to be worthy of our support and are currently fighting for ALL of our rights,.
NRA picked and chose what would create the most cash flow and perks for their leadership. NRA's hand was only forced by the court, they would have never willingly ousted WLP and stopped the gravy train. They have proven over decades where their priorities lie and will never get another cent from me.

Other than mismanagement of funds, I have zero issues with the NRA. Now that Wayne is no

Do you support background checks for private sales and red flag laws?
The NRA has supported both in the past, then from membership pressure publically changed their minds.
Should we believe them before or now?
Where they truly stand on the issue is blatantly obvious.

If background checks for private sales and red flag laws are provided for in the US Constitution I'm all in!

Did not bother to read all the posts.

NRA is an easy pass.

It is my money to send where I see fit. The NRA has not been fit for an awful long time.

If anyone has evidence to the contrary, I will listen.

Been a lifelong member for years, but will not support in any other way until changes are made such as all members get to use all NRA properties not just the privileged ones.
