Just a "consumer beware" public service announcement:

If you buy a Vizio TV (like the brand new 75" one we just bought) and it is defective.......do not think you will get it replaced with a new TV. 😠😠

Vizio's replacement policy (for new TVs that are under warranty) is to send you a "recertified" set as a replacement for the one you just bought new. That is.......you buy a new one that's junk.....you get a used one that's been "inspected by a technician" as a replacement. 😠😠

Ain't happening. I currently have 5 Vizio TVs in my house. Won't fool me again.

Vizio's customer service is BEYOND total πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’© !!!

BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!!

AVOID THESE AZZCLOWNS like the plague !!!

Our other 4 are Samsung and have good luck so far.

I have a 75", a 70", a 42" and a pair of 32" Vizios.

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

ALSO................ A bit of ex post facto research turns up 140-some complaints similar to mine to the Better Business Bureau in the last 12 months.

AND.......... Vizio is owned by Walmart, (a.k.a. Great Value TV's) which may explain why the 4 year service plan I paid $90 for won't do anything to help me, either.

Talk about an incestuous ring........

They're not the only ones - Apple tried that with us several years ago, for phones we didn't even get home with from the retailer, and that was just the beginning of trouble with them. I'll never own anything Apple again after that experience.

Thanks for the heads-up on Vizio.

Because sellers often have a generous (90 day) return policy, I would run any new TV for 200 hours or so for "burn in". If it fails return it.

I do not think I'd have any type of problem with issues with a product they sold me

The TV looks great. But something inside......it keeps dropping the apps that run our stream subscriptions. First ABC local, ESPN and ESPN2. Then Netflix. Then Prime. Vizio was able to flash it back to service over the internet connection once. Then they could do nothing more with it.

So, "Here. We'll replace your busted new TV with a "re-certified" used TV". πŸ–•πŸ˜‘πŸ–•

I can't get a flat screen to break. Mine are all old, I'd like to replace them with something newer, larger but mine wont die.

I was sad when plasmas went away. I mis my thx certified Panasonic plasma. Many leds were too slow of refresh rate and I was bugged by jutter. However our 65" Samsung has the 240 frame rate I think native 120 and its been really good for the 6 years we've had it.

I keep hoping it'll die so I can get a 75" old but it keeps trucking along. I'll probably replace it soon anyways and put the 65 in the kids play room.

If you don’t like Viso’s replacement policy. Don’t get insurance for a phone. You’ll get refurbished in most cases. It’s just the way many electronic Warrenty’s work.
