I stopped in at my FFL to arrange receipt of a Gunbroker purchase. (Rem 1100 20 ga sporting with adjustable butt pad, because someone was going to ask)
He had a Springfield 4-14x56 under the counter. The tag said it was for 5.56.
I have only had hands on one before. My shooting buddy bought a very similar scope twenty plus years ago. His was setup for the M1 A with 308 trajectory.
LOL, he put it on a Remington Sendero in 7mm STW shooting 140s at 3400 fps, then did not understand why the scope trajectory compensations did not match his rifle's performance.
I had not seen a Springfield labeled scope since 9-11. This one piqued my curiosity.
No, not in the market. Just curious.

If you are talking Springfield Armory...they fetch high prices on Ebay.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Yes, they were made by Hakko in Japan. There's a 4-16 with the 308W 168 gr. Match King reticle here in the 'way back area of the scope rack.

Thanks guys. I enjoy playing with retro glass, but I just can't find a use for this one.
The price was far less than the Ebay crowd seems to think they are worth.
