Folks who lived in cold places where you worked hard to prepare, or died come winter, created civilizations. Damn near everything we consider civilization. While struggling to grow food and water fuel for winter. Most places with more moderate weather, or hot only? Didn't. Anywhere those from the second category settle in large congregations, regress to uncivilization. Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

You guys are pretty good fellas but you seem to be forgetting a few civilizations that started in places that are considered "hot only" or more "moderate" weather. Egypt, the Fertile Crescent, Cambodia and Thailand, Central America, and let's not forget the basic starting grounds of our culture, Crete, Greece and Rome and the Med. None of those places strike me as very cold places where folks had to struggle for fuel and food in winter. The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men.
