When I shave, I'm a DE, soap and badger brush guy.
I have some business travel coming up and for the first time in forever, stubble probably isn't the best bet/look for me. Thinking I need an electric razor to put in the checked bag.
Any ideas?
Something worth a damn?

The therapist after my stroke, told told my wife to get me an electric razor. I used for a week and a half. Then when we got home I took a shower that first night and shaved with my razor 🪒 in the shower. When I got out and stood in front of the mirror. I had blood every where. It looked like I had slit my throat. My wife threw the razor 🪒 away and I’ve been using an electric razor ever since.
For what it’s worth mine is a Remington.

I have no issues with DA/soap - just I can't bring the blades on the plane (I never check a bag and you CAN bring cartridge razors for whatever reason). Only reason I'm looking to go juice - conferences.

Would it be difficult to secure a small supply of blades at your destination?

Only reason I'm looking to go juice - conferences. If you can bring cartridge razors I would just get some decent disposable razors and pack your soap.

Can’t recommend a specific model but - be aware the first coupla times using one can potentially burn / irritate your skin, especially around the neck. 🔥
Give it a test drive before your trip.

It takes a while to train your beard to shave with an electric razor. I thought at first, why would anyone use this piece of crap. But after a while you start getting good shaves from electric razor.

Same here, I never check a bag, unless I’m on a long stay or with hunting equipment, and then I carry on a bag with my meds, shaving stuff, etc. It’s a cartridge type razor, and I’ve had zero issues on many dozen flights.

Just toss a disposable in your kit. Even some high dollar versions like a Harry’s or some such are a fraction of the cost of an electric, lighter, and you don’t have to worry about voltage or plugs when traveling internationally.

I myself am DE, soap, badger brush but am fine with stubble to travel- If Feather is your brand you can find them on Amazon or online to deliver to where you are staying
I have had TSA do a detailed search for blades if the X-ray caught my DE razor anyway …

Just get into the 21st century and go to Walmart and get you a Braun electric. I've been using a Series 5 for years with a new shaver head every couple years. When I had a dark beard a blade did shave closer, but now gray around the muzzle it is harder to see stubble and who cares anyway in this day of stubble and beards as being a fashion statement.
My other auto is a .45

What kind razor can't you fly with? You can not fly with a double edge razor AND the blades. You need to leave the blades at home - makes the DE razor useless. Just looking to get a recommendation on a decent electric for back up/travel duty.

Braun by a mile. The charger works on multiple voltages. Keep the plastic cap on over the foil to protect it and you’re GTG.
