Looking to buy a rifle. Really like the Tikka but sounds love they are producing very slow velocities. Like to keep it under 1500. Suggestions Only used for hunting but accuracy is a must

Can't imagine the Tikka wouldn't be a top choice.

Grab a gun. Mesas are like 800 bucks. Lot of gun for the money. Side bolt stop. Dual plungers. M16 extractor. 416 stainless barrel that's suppressor ready. Plus has a decent stock. Easy choice.

I've heard the Sauer 100s are a bit slow in a prc too. I have one but still haven't shot it. I feel a gun needs 100 rounds or so through it settle the speed ? So i better get shooting mine.
Euro optic has the sako s20s for $999. They're a little heavy but everyone I know that has one says they shoot very well. I'm tempted to try one but I'll likely go 300 win because I have a bunch of 225g elds to use up.

Tikka offers a lot of variations and shoot good. I also enjoy the Sako S20, very small groups and have taken game easily.

Ruger Go Wild is great and inexpensive. Very accurate, this is a "typical group" . Looks nice also.

Cant go wrong with the Tikka or the Ruger go wild, I love both of them. Another one that surprised me was the Mossberg Patriot, I didn't want to like it but it turned out to do pretty well.

Wish Tikka would do a stainless 20" threaded that's a little heavier profile for a suppressor.

Absolutely. I actually bought one as an impulse buy in 7mm PRC. I shot it. I liked it so much I painted it put a Vortex Razor on her and kept her. Before After Accuracy. Does this all the time also

The Mossberg LR Hunter is nice and can be had for $500! I hope they make it in 7PRC.
Good Shooting!

I love it when a 500 dollar rifle shoots like a 5000 dollar rifle!

The most accurate rifle I have ever had was a CZ 600 Alpha in 6.5PRC. I certainly do not claim to be a great long range shot, but after a handful of rounds to get it sighted in, I proceeded to blow through about 40 rounds hitting a 6" gong at 300yds everytime. Not super long range, not grouping on paper, I know, but it was boringly accurate to shoot at that target. Ugly and heavy, but has a factory adjustable trigger to 2lbs with super smooth pull, threaded for a brake/suppressor, short bolt throw, and an odd but surprisingly ergonomic safety design that works really well. For the price it was hard to beat. I just wish they made them in LH. I couldn't justify a range only rifle and let it go.

I've got a Howa 1500 with the carbon barrel. I never even shot it with the Hogue stock. I ordered a Stockys Carbon fiber stock, bedded and painted it, then went out shooting. That rifle is scary accurate! Rifle and stock were $1100

Tikka. If that doesn't work for you, Howa. Ruger American can work too.
