Southeast of Austin today. A field trip to the zoo for 44 pre-K kids. Cement truck veered into their lane. Two fatalities so far, the chaperones musta had everyone wearing seatbelts. https://news4sanantonio.com/news/lo...sbastrop-county-line-involves-40-people#

I believe the newly purchased buses have to have seat belts according to state law.
When I left in 2018, there was talk and a lot of bitching about it.

Holy cow, 44 preschoolers and accompanying adults on that bus. Thank God for seat belts. Bus dashcam

I have NEVER seen a school bus with seat belts. Rode them 10 years.
No seatbelts 25 yrs later for my kids either.
