He replied to a WTB post I had and provided edited pics of a previous listing, he changed the background, it was nicely done but clearly an edited pic. He texted from phone number (646) 873-9097.

The last scammer was named “morgoth” which should have also been a dead giveaway

Why don't these f'in losers do it the easy way, and get a legit job?? Or, I guess these kids are just SO much smarter than us older dudes. Wishing nothing but bad upon crooks and scumbags.

As a former professional 'finder of people that don't want to be found' (warrant enforcement LEO), it's pretty simple to check out people. I'm in the process of buying a rifle here. The seller called me and we talked. Everything he said was confirmed via Google, FB, Photo Search, address check, etc. Spoke with the FFL that will be shipping the rifle to me and it all checked out. Easy-Peasy. Do your due diligence and if you encounter a red flag....
