There is Carter's Country gun store. If you want the best experience go to the Treaschwig store. They have a shooting range there, so you can hear the boom & smell the powder burning...........

On your way in stop by T-Juanita’s in Winnie and try the fried ribs . It’s right off I-10.

Couple years ago, spent 2 weeks in houston for a training class.

Had to find something to do for a Sat / Sun.

Killed time at…

Pinto Ranch boot store..
Galleria ( ive from a small town, 3 story mall is cool)
RTIC cooler storefront.
Caught a Circue soliel ( spelling) show at the horse race track. ( stayed across the highway from it)

Been back since, NW houston to Waller / Hempstead. Waller reminded me of my hometown….

Houston's a big place. What area will you be in? If more central...

Firstly, avoid any Landry's owned restaurant ...Landry's Seafood, Landry's Steaks, McCormick and Schmick’s, Rainforest Cafe, etc..

For steak...Papa's Brothers Steakhouse. Consistently one of the best steaks in Houston. Better than most other high end steakhouses, imo.

For Tex Mex...Lupe Tortillia's. They're famous for Beef Fajitas.

For Cajun Food...Ragin Cajun on Richmond.

For Seafood..Good Company Seafood on Westpark

Top Water Grill, 40 miles south of Houston, is worth the drive for seafood.

Be very careful in Houston in regards to vehicle smash and grabs, even in broad daylight. If you go into a store or restaurant, take any belonging/bags/backpacks etc. with you.

It's become so bad, it's almost beyond belief.
