If the Law of Moses were a plane, Jesus was landing it ~ and you don’t “abolish” a plane by landing it. If the Law of Moses were a speech, Jesus was concluding it ~ and you don’t “abolish” a speech by concluding it. If the Law of Moses were a homework assignment, Jesus was was completing it ~ and you don’t “abolish” a homework assignment by completing it.

The sacrifices stopped because Jesus fulfilled all that they pointed to...He was the ‘final’ sacrifice for sins. The priesthood stopped...the one that stood between God and those who worshipped Him…people now had a direct line to God themselves ~ NO mediators. The physical temple stopped...it was no longer the geographical center of worship because God now lived within His followers...‘they’ themselves were the temple.

God set a timer when He established His conditional and temporary covenant with ancient Israel...and the time had run out. God’s conditional and temporary covenant with ancient Israel was being fulfilled and retired, just as Jesus said.

If you had a HUGE debt that you owed, and someone came along and paid off your debt, the obligation would be fulfilled...and the burden of fulfilling that obligation would be removed as well. Jesus fulfilled ~ and retired ~ the necessity of the Jewish law. The old covenant that God made with the ancient Israelites wasn’t needed anymore...it had been retired in favor a new and better covenant that God made through Jesus with ALL of the people in ALL of the world.

It’s good to see that the overwhelming majority of those who claim to be Jesus’ followers nowadays understand these facts; despite the clear intentional misrepresentation of these facts by the agenda driven skeptics and deniers.

Excellent analogy!

Fulfill does not mean abolish. If fulfill meant abolish, "I have not come to abolish the law of the prophets" is false.

Plus the wording is 'till all be fulfilled' - yet not all has been fulfilled.

The return of Jesus in power and glory has not been fulfilled as promised

Correct. Just like (as someone noted above) fulfilling one's homework assignment isn't to abolish it.

Jesus said on the cross (as recorded in the Vulgate), consummatum est, i.e., it is finished or it is accomplished. Those were his last words on the cross. He had accomplished his task, and replaced the Old with the New Covenant with mankind. This was the the fulfillment of the Old Covenant.

"In that he saith, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away."

Discovering The Jewish Jesus / with Rabbi Schneider – A Jewish Believer in Jesus

In 1978, having no concept of or familiarity with Jesus, feeling isolated, unfulfilled, and lost, a young Jewish man was suddenly awakened from his sleep. Immediately, a vision appeared to him of Jesus on the cross. “I knew at that instant that Jesus was the answer I had been searching for,” says Messianic Rabbi K. A. Schneider.

For the first time, he began reading the New Testament, devouring every verse; he says: “it was like fire to me.” He became consumed with knowing and experiencing God, the revelation of His Word, and the glory of His Son.

During the past forty-plus years, Rabbi Schneider has dedicated his life to a passionate pursuit of Messiah Jesus and being used by God for His purpose. His experience in both personal spiritual warfare and ministry has equipped him to bring to God’s Church deep insight into how to gain power over the realm of darkness and live-in victory.

Today Rabbi Schneider hosts the impactful television program –Discovering The Jewish Jesus, which is available in more than one hundred million homes in the United States and nearly two hundred nations worldwide. In 2021 he began broadcasting on radio and now airs across America. Rabbi Schneider imparts revelation of Jesus’ Jewish heritage and His fulfillment of Messianic prophecy. Questions of how the Old and New Testaments tie together, and how Yeshua completes the unfolding plan of The Almighty Yahweh, are answered with exceptional clarity.

Through understanding the Old Testament and its prophetic nature, with Yeshua as its fulfillment, the viewer’s/listener’s faith is strengthened, increased relationship and intimacy with the LORD is discovered, and an eternal vision of life is crystallized. Discovering The Jewish Jesus is an end-times ministry, strengthening the Church and calling her to be a readied bride for the return of the Bridegroom, Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus The Messiah).

Several years ago, God spoke to Rabbi Schneider, “You are an evangelist.” The fulfillment of this calling is evident by the salvation testimonies the ministry receives through its television and radio broadcasts; and by the thousands of souls saved through on-the-ground outreaches and crusades across Africa and in places like Israel, Ukraine, and Cuba.

For the past 40 years of his ministry the rainbow has been an integral part of Rabbi Schneider’s faith journey, because the Lord has communicated to him through rainbow symbolism in dreams and visions. After a lifetime of deep association to the rainbow, in the spring of 2023, Rabbi Schneider founded the international movement called: Taking The Rainbow Back. This was in response to the misuse by the LGBTQ community of the rainbow and the need to rally the body of Christ in unity to not only reclaim the rainbow, but to also restore righteousness to our society.

Rabbi Schneider has authored several books, including Called to Breakthrough, Do Not Be Afraid, Self-Deliverance, The Lion of Judah, Rivers of Revelation, The Mystery of Dreams, and Rivers of Divine Truth. He has been featured in The Jerusalem Post and is a frequent guest on national TV programs, including The 700 Club, Daystar’s Marcus and Joni, and Mornings with Maria on Fox Business Network.

He has pastored, traveled as an evangelist, and served as Rabbi of a local New Testament church congregation.
We watch him from time to time. He is pretty good.

Yep. Clearly. He was specifically talking about the Law when He made that statement, “till all be fulfilled.” He wasn’t talking about the future, He wasn’t talking about returning in power and glory, He wasn’t talking about anything else. He clearly meant till all in the Law is fulfilled. “It is finished (accomplished)” clearly was His verification that all in the Law was now absolutely and unequivocally fulfilled.

Those with an agenda…whether atheists or modern day Judaizers…clearly and intentionally take Jesus’ words out of the context in which He spoke them…in order to make it jive with their already established beliefs and agenda.

Happy Easter. Nobody expected no body.

All Jews are but men. All Christians are but men. What any of them say needs be measured against the truth and Nature of God Himself.
That journey is your own to take. He will reveal Himself to those who are honestly seeking.
Best wishes on your trip,

Excellent post gentlemen. Happy Easter.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Per the other thread.
Teach me about God's love while your mouth spews hate.

Jesus fed the beggers, touched the Lepper, ministered to the Whore.

Too many Christians "minister" by hating.
Jews, Catholics, Protestants, LDS, drinkers, smokers, Trannies, Homo's.

Jesus loved all of the sinners.

The self righteous feel entitled to preach hate.
