I note the lack of Negros in the competitive swimming sports.
Why that?
My friend George said he and the other black officers didn't swim well because his bones were heavier than mine. I don't know if that's true, but it always made me chuckle. But for competing at the highest level, it comes down to whether you start that sport at an early age. There aren't a ton of black hockey players or lacrosse players, but there's no inherent reason for that. That's a geographic, demographic, and cultural thing.
Just spent a few days in Tennessee, outside most of the time. Not sure how many black people I saw, mostly because I don't give a $hit. Nor should you, and the idiots in the article shouldn't care how many white people they saw. The country is imploding, buying into these identity politics only speeds the process.
When I was in Boy Scouts we went to a summer camp. 1st day every one was tested for swimming ability. Weren't many black kids there but most of them sank when they jumped in the pool. Most white boys float at least a little.
Now remember, they are only 13% of the population, not 50% as portrayed in the media. When we were visiting Arches National Park, I do recall seeing one black family, there may have been other mixed couples, but I remember that one family because that’s the only one we saw.
Did everyone stare and point at them in amazement?

Instead of swimming they gold medals for cracking open fire hydrants on hot days in inner-cities.
Now that I think about it my bride and I spent 3 full days this past October touring the town of Gettysburg and the battlefield. I do not recall seeing any black folks although a welcome brochure showed a black woman mayor.
For sure we didn't see any black tourists.

Patriotism (and religion) is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
