Would anyone know what the torque should be for a BSA CF2 (wood stock)?

If it hasn't been bedded 25-35 inch pounds.
If bedded it's a moot issue. Tight as you like.

Not a torquing fan if the bedding is done properly.

Not so much dependent on bedding as it is with pillars. Does it have pillars or solid tubes/pipes like Mausers on the rear guard screw? I've see guys crush bedding cranking down too hard with wood stocks. Some composite stock compounds also are not totally solid and can give, especially those super lightweights built on expanding foam. It's quite easy to enlarge the guard screw holes on wood stocks and insert a thinwall steel tube (large enough to allow the screw to insert and rotate freely) in the guard screw hole. Take your time fine tuning the length of the tube before you permanently epoxy or glue it inplace. Glass bedding is not the end all for many factory stocks especially wood, as there's not enough free space to accomodate more than skim bedding - which does little more than help isolate the action and adds little if any constructive, reinforcement or strengthening of the stock. Glass bedding - like water - is NOT compressible and needs room to flow and fill to an appropriate thickness.

Once you get the tubes in place correctly, you can crank down as much as you want as long as you're NOT moving the action within the stock.

Had this question on my SC M70 FWT. Called Winchester and they told me 45 inch pounds.
