I'm in the market for a Remington 541S. Really looking for a mint or near mint condition that has not been altered in any way. With or without original box. I have found a couple but want to see what else is out there. Not interested in a 541T.

WileyC: Good luck in your quest - but having owned both 541-S's and 541-T's I can NOT imagine your adversity to a Remington 541-T?
In fact I have sold the two Remington 541-S Rifles I have owned (for profit reasons) and STILL own the two wonderfully accurate Remington 541-T's I have acquired over the years.
If you are ever up Montana way stop in and I'll let you test drive either of my 541-T's.
Again good luck in your quest.

I have a 541-S with Weaver T-10 microdot reticle. It's a sparrow shooting tool! Mint condition, but not letting it go at this time. Good luck with your search. Last I saw on GB, they're not getting any cheaper.

Buy now pay later. The good ones are going to cost you. The 541 T shoots every bit as good as the 541S. I have a few of them. Only had one I ever sold because it was not accurate.

Well, Mr VarmintGuy............. I found my rifle(s) grin In the first 2 months of the year I ended up with a NIB 541S from the original owner, never fired, bolt never inserted into the rifle, original box, tag still tied to the trigger guard, etc. Then I acquired a new, never fired 541-T HB without the box but absolutely never fired and pristine. I decided that the S would be gifted to one of my granddaughters and that I should never fire it. I also have not fired the 541T HB. So, then I found a very lightly used S model to get some enjoyment from. I removed the triggers from all 3 and sent them to Brian Voelker to have him work his magic and they are absolutely the best triggers in any firearm that I currently own. Mr Voelker is THE 541 guy! So, now I'm on the lookout for a 541T Sporter and I believe that will complete my collection of these beautiful rifles.

And here I thought that I wouldn't want a T model........ grin

When the rimfire 50/50 was it's infancy the 541's WAS KING Wayne Larrick owned the Sporter class . The only one's that I remember seeing were the HB model and they did not do any winning on the National Level .
I still own 3'S two stock and one with a Lilja bbl with the exception of the Sako P-94 I have not seen a Sporter more accurate than the 541"s

Jewell made triggers for the Sako + gunsmiths were rechambering them because of the clamp on system

Good luck with your search

Jim

Can you tell me how to get it touch with Mr. Voelker. Does he have a website? In case I need some work done on my 541. Thanks much.
