Do you eat the whole thing or only the white of the Ramp.
A coworker from Johnson City TN said one could actually smell the serious Ramps eaters, it was like they exuded the scent.

Wonder what the controlling environmental/geological factorsare?
The do not extend very far west in TN.

I eat the whole thing. As far as factors where they're found I honestly don't know. I've seen them personally in NC , Tennessee, Virginia, Wva, Maryland and PA. Heard of others finding them as far north as Canada. Mostly mountain areas. Seem to find most along springs and wet areas.

Lower elevations you'd probably find some. We were west of Marlinton close to thr Scenic highway. Higher up there were fewer ramps.

I was going to look around laurel fork. Might be too early yet though.

I haven't found any yet but they are finding some around ruckersville. I was working in rockbridge county this week and a guy said they found a few.

Like Troutnut said, we need some warmer nights.

Saw on one of the Facebook groups yesterday where someone found a pile in Augusta County yesterday. Of course no clue where. We used to hunt back around laurel fork years ago. Used to be a pile of deer around there

Enjoy. They are great.

All parts are great, raw greens in salad, sauteed with a little butter, great in an omlet...

We just got 8 inches of snow so will be a bit
