AGM Rattler V2 35-384 or an AGM Adder TS 35-384, anyone have a preference here? Saw a pretty decent deal and am not familiar with them. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

I have the 35-384 Rattler, friend has the 35-384 Adder. We use them to kill rats and pigeons at dairy farms. Both are excellent, and I recommend either with no reservations.
Base magnification and FOV are the important differences. Adder has higher base magnification which also translates as a more restricted FOV. Some folks are uneasy using a rifle to scan. But we're never in situations where that could be problematic.
We've swapped rigs on occasion. But we're both happy with our choices. My friend uses a hand-held thermal AGM monocular to deal with the Adder's limited FOV. He likes the Adder's extra magnification. I've never wished for a scanner or regretted the Rattler. The CCI Quiets run out of trajectory before the Rattler base magnification could become an issue.
Think the Adder's magnification could be preferable for coyotes shot at distance. But the Rattler certainly has enough resolution for 150 yds on coyotes, around 250 yds on deer. The Rattler is smaller and lighter. Rattler's only negative - given our purposes - is that it sits higher above the bore. Once I learned to compensate at very close distances that became a non-issue.
Have a 50-640 Rattler that sits on an AR. Nice, indeed, but the 35-384s cover so much ground they might be best thermal bang for the buck. Unless you have an unlimited budget.

The Rattler is more compact and designed for an AR platform rifle. The new Rattler V2 has a proprietary rechargeable battery with a 10-12 hour run time and each unit comes with 2 batteries. It has a newer sensor that does better in less-than-ideal conditions such as humidity. The Adder has a 30mm tube and can work on and AR platform as well as a bolt action rifle. It uses a CR123A battery.

As Doug said it's more about mounting as both are good thermals, just different form factors.

I have all the sources. They can't stop the signal.
