I can take 2 hammers and use it one for a brace and the 2nd one to smack a padlock body and most will jar open.

Always thought my 10" Ridgid was Top Doggy, but now it feels somehow inadequate.


Also, IMO he dismissed that bent Johnson a bit too quickly. Sure, it has limited utility but sometimes getting into tight places nothing else will do.

An old railroad spike plus any other striking tool (hammer, axe poll, hatchet, big rock, ...) is the padlock master key.

But....gotta admit I've never witnessed a king dick of that size in use.

Pretty stout latch and hasp system on that test bed.
I recommend disc locks to our customers - hard to get to on our doors and bolt cutters are nearly useless on them.
