Best weight loss hack is eating fewer calories than you burn.

Everything else is just a trick, tool, habit, or other device to do that.

Many of these hacks work for many people. The secret is finding one that works for you and that you can stick with.

The only weight loss nighttime hack is to stop eating anything with any calories by 6pm.

There's no hack. Fat loss is what everyone's after not weight loss, and the only way to do it is run a calorie deficit, and the fastest (healthy) way to that is to build muscle (and not eat more).

The drop and give me 20 hack.

If age/health/injury is a concern make it 20 laps in a pool.

The average person burns about 200 calories [bleep]. You'd need to [bleep] around 18 times per week without increasing caloric intake to lose a pound per week.

Once you get up from the supper table the only thing that should go in your mouth is your toothbrush just before bedtime. Seriously what has helped me lose 70# without backsliding is "carb awareness", apple cider vinegar capsules 2x/day, three days a week in the gym and walking a mile every day. Eliminate all soda and drink lots of water. Try it, it's a simple lifestyle change that you can stick with.

Yep to what gunwizard said. Calorie (and carb) awareness is big. Get your calories mainly from protein, eggs, and vegetables/fruits. Minimize the taters, rice, bread, etc. if you aren't doing heavy labor. Dial the snacks way back and find healthy versions so you stay satisfied. Do strength training 3-4 times a week and try to improve on last week. Burn some calories otherwise on the off days. Eat maybe a meal or two a week that is "off the list" if you really want to, but keep it in check. This isn't a miserable lifestyle and most folks will drop bodyfat to a much more reasonable level if given time.

Regarding nighttime, a cup of decaf coffee after supper can stave off the need for snacking or dessert...

How long did it take to lose the 70?
