I'm trying to figure out what to do. The lady at Hogue (evidently the makers) told me the frame on my Mod 10 thickness @ .365 is too wide, they make this grip for a frame thickness of .340 (what the grip measures). Mine is toward the thick side. My recourse is to either send it back for refund, or send it in for a custom grip. I didn't ask the cost, but the turn-around time is 30 to 60 business days. I'm thinking that's too damned long. OK - done venting - now go to deciding alternatives.

Why can't you customize the Hogue grips?

From what I see they cater to modern revolvers K or L frame with X being same and N for some reason different. I would return, wait is too long and self customization takes too much effort.

Why can't you customize the Hogue grips? Being a 1-piece grip it would not be the the most pleasant task, although not impossible.

Sorry for the late response. Pardon me for thinking like a retired guy with lots of woodworking tools. I'd take it as a mild challenge.
