local news has broke out the "debris tracker". Tornado warnings are up and around, but so far nothing confirmed

I think its about 15 minutes from getting in our neck of the woods, bad stuff is just south of the Ohio river

One storm went through here about 11:00 this morning. There were some areas that were hit hard.

They sent my son home from work at noon today, they don't close for snow

I just had to go clean out the drains in my yard, they were clogged and I had a small lake. Its been awhile since I had to do that
but that's the worst of it.

South of here are having a bad time - Brooksville, KY area

I asked a local educator what was up with all the school closings these days when there is a weather threat, as opposed to an actual weather event. He said it's due to the world we're living in today, where people and lawyers are just looking for something to sue someone over, and the school systems are just covering their butts. I can understand that, even though it doesn't make sense sometimes.

Local news says one touched down in Sunbright, later showed a few locals' videos of damage to buildings and flipped over trees. I guess Cumberland County has another couple hours of Watch, but it looks to be northeast of us. Lotta local stuff closed early today, of course local government, because they can always use an afternoon off with pay...

I suspect it may be partially "them damn lawyers" but I suspect there's a whole lot of school administrators and staff who are perfectly happy to watch Price is Right and eat tacos on the recliner.

A small twister skipped across S. Bourbon Co. today. I didn't see it, but the narrow path & the damage would certainly indicate what it was.. I did see part of damage.

Lots of high dollar Thoroughbreds in equine hospitals tonight from one very large barn that got hit.. Thankfully, no reports of human injuries.

Not to mention because of the scare folks are used to school closings. Most don't like it but it is what it is. Around here all kids have school supplied laptops, I can look daily or weekly and my kids scheduled work is on it.
